On prep:  Preparation is always a stressful time.  Tim made it very easy for us by listening to what we were looking for, making suggestions and helping us to devise the best way to carry out our workshops and run his element of the event.  Tim is an excellent communicator and we were always happy with the speed and care in which he took to reply to any of our questions.  Tim knows what he needs to get the job done and sources good quality materials from suppliers he trusts.  Not only did this save us a lot of time, but also a lot of money.

On workshops:  We were really impressed with Tims kite workshops.  Often working with 30+ young primary children, Tim had command of the classroom and had a great rapport with the young people.  The kites they made were simple enough for them to make on their own but challenging enough to keep them interested and concentrated.  All the staff, pupils and parents were extremely impressed at the ease of which the kites flew - clearly a testament to the quality of materials used and the excellent knowledge base that Tim has.

On events:  Tim and his team arrived with plenty of time to set up for our event.  We provided a gazebo for Tim to work from but he really made it his own by bring decorations, products and materials of his own.  It was vibrant and eye-catching and looked very professional.  Tim coped extraordinarily well with the crowds of people that came.  He had a queue for at least three hours but took the time to speak with every person and help them put together their own kite.  Even once the crowds had subsided Tim walked through the park to help fix any problems and show the young people how to get their kites in the air.  The whole day was handled with enthusiasm and professionalism and we would love to work with Tim again in the future.

Martin Fell, Organiser of Tenament Fair  Gibson St Gala, Westend Festival May 2008

The Timskites project played a significant role in making our part of Glasgows Westend Festival a successful and much enjoyed event.

Our contribution included many stalls offering all types of wares and activities suitable for all.  We also showcased musical talent with a variety of styles from jazz to folk.

I purposefully situated Tim at the centre of the festivities due to the valuable contribution he makes to the overall atmosphere and the service he provides for our younger, creative, festival goers.

Tims stall was a success in every way, despite the rain, and we would be very happy to have him back at our Gibson St Gala in years to come.
